I am grateful to have a father who loves photography.
I remember taking this photo after a rainy day.

Jellies

My favorite sea creature.
Taken at Sea World when J and I visited San Diego.

le voisin.

Taking photos for my school's newspaper is draining me of inspiration.
I am very sensitive to photo-taking.
But for the time being, I enjoy rummaging through my old photos. I don't know if it's a dancer thing, but my neighbor/friend doesn't always wear shoes when we're outside.

Don't they know it's the end of the world?

I wear my sister's shoes, now considered "vintage."

so close, so soon

I have been dozing off in my French and Calculus classes everyday for the past two weeks.  Perhaps, I cannot sleep at night knowing that finally I will be graduating in less than three weeks.

I live in a quiet culdesac.

35mm

I realize that I enjoy taking photos of people- friends, classmates, babies, strangers- more than anything else. Nature, although beautiful, is better in person and tiresome to see on print. How many photos of Yosemite or blooming tulips have you seen? Too many.
Honestly, it takes a lot of creativity for subjects such as mountains or famous buildings to interest me, because any person with a camera at the right angle can basically take the same shot as you. On the other hand, with people, every photo captured is a unique moment. Men and women are always changing their appearance, children never stop growing, and your friends might not always be there.

I am enjoying using a manual 35mm film SLR and processing my photos all at home.  It is very time consuming, but all the labor is worth enduring for something you love.

Bokeh

It's been a while since I've taken photos.
These are a few of many I took using a sort of DIY cardboard lens hood filter with a heart cut-out, taken at the widest aperture value on my lens (F1.4), and plenty of love, of course.
