Everyone is born with different traits, obviously.  Some people are born with green eyes, some people are tall, and so on.  I believe Vlada is one of those fortunate few born with extreme metabolisms, resulting in a tiny frame.  She can probably eat 3 filling meals a day and still look skinny and relatively healthy.  However, in her photos, she does not appear healthy.  Her skin sulks into her bones and her complexion looks depleted of vitamins.  Basically, the girl hardly eats.  But I don't blame her.  She's a model.  A busy model at that.  And like many hardworking folk, she may not have the luxury of eating well.  Plus, she wouldn't find work if she weighed more than 115 lbs.  She has that slightly sickly but sweet virginal look, so does Sasha Pivovarova.  It's the look of Prada/Miu Miu and others.  I guess it's sort of goth.

While models such as Vlada and Sasha are fit to represent houses like Prada, they aren't ideal for Hervé Léger.  His bandage dresses are meant to fit skin tight, accentuating a woman's curves.  Vlada's body is neither curvy nor voluptuous, because she wasn't born that way.  So I'm not blaming her for being skinny.  It's part of her success.  I just believe that the casting directors and dressers should have found a better candidate for the outfit or a different dress for her.

My computer finally broke yesterday.  Since 2005, I've been using an iMac G5... ancient.

My phone broke a few months ago.

I don't care for technology.  Truthfully, I do.  But it costs too much to care.

For now, I'm using my school's computers.

I hear we're getting new Mac laptops.

School starts this Thursday. I'm going to do things differently this time. It's going to be a good year.

As a young child, I wanted so badly to be an ice skater. I don't even think it was because I identified with Michelle Kwan or Kristi Yamaguchi as an asian girl. I simply loved to skate. I never had the opportunity to pursue my dream.

I just purchased Harry Potter à l'école des sorciers a.k.a. Harry Potter book numero uno en français.  Yes, a mélange of three languages in one sentence (I did it again!).  Considering French is one of my majors, it's pretty important that the language remains  running in my head.  So far, my only practice has been reading the french labels on soap bottles.  I figure it'll be an easy read, or it will question myself and my education.  I hope for the former.
